The new, patent-pending SeaLife Color BoostTM mode combines specific red and white light frequencies to create a warm and vibrant color effect underwater. Red is the first color in the visible light spectrum to be filtered out by water. The light's Color Boost function replenishes the lost red, creating a balanced, warm color effect. The new dial design allows for quick, intuitive control of power and brightness. Turning the dial turns the light on and off, as well as adjusting the brightness, and pressing the dial toggles between Color Boost and White Light modes. The brightness can be adjusted continuously and evenly from 300 to 3000 lumens, without steps or clicks. When adjusting the brightness in Color Boost mode, the color temperature of 3900K is maintained.The flashlight can be used as an emergency signaling device by pressing the dial down for 5 seconds. Pressing and releasing the dial toggles between SOS, flashing, and red-only modes. The red-only mode is useful for night dives to avoid scaring light-sensitive marine life. The "SOS" and "flashing" modes have a runtime of more than 20 minutes on a full battery charge. Turning the dial all the way to the left exits emergency signaling mode and turns the flashlight off.
